The Pirates opoen the scoring in the first after Whitney Myers singled, scoring one run. Colfax jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Anderson grounded out, and Sikora homered to left field, each scoring one run. Colfax added two runs in the second after Sikora doubled. The Pirates flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring seven runs on five hits to take a 8-4 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to left field by Myers that drove in two. Myers earned the win for the Pirates. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and four runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking two. Beyers took the loss for Colfax. They went three innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits, striking out four and walking five. Myers drove the middle of the lineup, leading Grantsburg with three runs batted in. They went 2-for-2 on the day. Kaylie Moore went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Pirates in hits. Moore and Armato each stole multiple bases for the Grantsburg Pirates. Grantsburg worked the count all day, accumulating five walks. The Pirates ran wild on the base paths, amassing four stolen bases for the game. Sikora drove the middle of the lineup, leading Colfax with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Shipman, Sikora, and Ebert each collected two hits for Colfax.
